What is your vision

for yourself lately?

Updated: 09/10/13

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.

'What's in the bag?' asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, 'It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband.'

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two.  Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said:

'Good trade.....'

"Always be sincere, even if you don't mean it.  The presidency is less an office than a performance."

Think you have command over your body?  Try this....while sitting down, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it.

Penser the Bull Snake  (Part 2)   Part 1

The day came finally came when the sun was out and the weather was warm, and Penser moved around the house quite actively.  Not having any extra mice on hand, I opened the front door and guided him out.  He didn't seem to excited to go but I encouraged him to at least take a look outside.

After a few moments of sniffing the air, he headed right back up the dryer vent, and I haven't see him since.

These photos are from his last day at the house - moving around in the bathroom, heading outside, going back to a favorite spot.  More movies are at the bottom if you'd like to see him in action

(These movies are short clips, but large file sizes - 10 MB or more - don't attempt downloading unless you have high-speed Internet)
